Why do I write?
I write to simply express, to tell stories, to heal, to release, to create, to meditate, to grow, to inspire, to converse, and to understand.

But most especially, to remind that everyone can write for the same reasons.

What is the English word of 'maarte'?
The Tagalog word maarte originally meant artful or artsy. But it is now used to describe someone, especially a young woman, who can be nitpicky and by extension pretentious. It has a negative connotation, but not a very strong one.

In this personal blog, the author uses the word 'maarte' in its original context—but in another descriptive way. And for a fun fact, she is much more of an 'emotera' according to her colleagues.

Maarteng Binibini (or Binibining Anma) is one of the passionate idealists in this modern generation. Driven by her love in theater acting and performance processing through the years, she has come to realize to choose the path of seeking significance in enriching the local arts and culture.

"Happy Pill", that's how her friends describe her. Binibining Anma, as an ENFP-T she is, likes interacting with and talking to people, connecting through their experiences, discoveries, and emotions. In some ways, she could be an open book willing to be vulnerable and transparent. She is God-fearing, energetic, explorer by heart, deep-thinker, luminary, active, and aesthetics-driven. She is moved by beauty in many forms which she finds mostly in the arts and culture. All the while, she lives life dramatically—being a sun pouring rain, a storm with a flesh, or a withered sunflower for she tends to be easily intensified by emotions. Still, with the present capacity she has, she uses it to as a way to explore the deepest part of the universe.

Binibining Anma is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Communication, a writer, an apprentice artist in the Lipa Actors Company, founding member of Kislap Pana Kolektib, an employee of Hello Lipa, and is currently in the process of taking her next steps to art mastery.

It is not unwise to listen to your heart because it is the one making beats in everything. Whereas your mind will act as the conductor to harmonize both melody and right rhythm with the beats.
